Drs. Foster and Smith sure know their crickets. I've tried the canned crickets and the freeze dried crickets also sold on Amazon, but they left much to be desired. The flavor really just wasn't there. Not so with these live crickets! They're shipped overnight, so you know they're fresh.

I took the day of their arrival off of work, awaiting my package of arthropods with eagerness. They were promptly delivered to my place of residence, as advertised, and I wasted no time getting to work. I hand picked what I observed to be the largest cricket and popped him in my chomper. The crunch and subsequent explosion of flavor was like no pre-packaged cricket I had ever tasted. I had another. And another. Same result. Every cricket I selected exceeded my taste buds' expectations.

I gladly recommend this product and Drs. Foster and Smith in good confidence to any cricket connoisseur. However, buyers need to realize that upon ordering this product they will receive A THOUSAND live crickets. Not a dozen, not 100. ONE THOUSAND. I beg you, only order if you've already acquired a taste for these delicious insects. There's no sense ordering 1000 of the best your first time around!

For those reading who are confident in what their taste buds want, I can tell you that I ate the entire package of these in a week. Don't order a thousand if you can't match my pace, for the crickets won't survive any longer than a few days.

We ordered a thousand for our beardie and we were surprised to open the box and find some stow-aways. there are at least a hundred little worm like creatures and flying black beatles. today i found ALOT of dead crickets and on them were larva... tiny maggot looking larva. I am very dissappointed. I called flukers and they said that they are just water beetles that come in the cricket feed. they said they were safe to feed to our reptiles. I put one of these water beetles in our turtle tank.... definitely not a water beetle!!! Then we thought maybe they are weevils but I researched online and the life cycle dosn't match up.... unless of course these are two completely different pests. Watever they are, they are eating my crickets. I am so dissapointed. I think I may call and ask for a refund. The shipping was also expensive but the packaging was really nice. Everything arrived on time.
