This album is amazing. It ranges from head-banging guitars to soft echoed synth, and does it with a tapestry of sound that all comes together with a singular aesthetic.
With the sensibility of Wolf Parade's Expo86, the chaos-control of Weezer's Pinkerton and a touch of their own brand of video-game feel-good hooks, this album really is intoxicating.
I can't recommend it enough. And bonus? Their other albums rock too, and each with it's own subtle vibe. Do a yourself a favor and enjoy every album by ROYAL BANGS (there is no 'the').
