Harry Murray's works on Smallmouth Bass are without peer. Sadly, the river thst is scene of his works is dying along with the subject of his expertise. The Shenandoah River is a dying river and the Smallmouth -- they are largely gone. The Smallmouth Bass of the Shenandoah have been decimated, dead by a yet undiagnosed disease --- more than 85% of the population! This is no ordinary "fish kill". It is in its third year and counting! So, by all means, buy Harry's book but, when doing so, plan for another venue, another river to practice his techniques and stream wisdom.
