I wonder if I'm just easily confused.

Knowing nothing about Fly-Fishing, but eager to learn, I thought this looked like the perfect title to get me started.

After a nice little introduction about the history of Fly-Fishing, the author begins discussing 'Fly-Fishing for Trout: the Video Guide'. Neither the title nor the description of this book mentions any Videos which makes me wonder, what's going on here. But if we ignore this, the rest of the book is okay.

As a complete novice to the sport, I found that the author made several assumptions and used words and phrases that, perhaps, someone who is already familiar with fishing would understand. Perhaps some illustrations (this book has none) would help clear up the confusion. A lot of times (for example the discussion on fly rod selection) the author tells us what to take into consideration, but fails to give us concrete examples.

The formatting for the kindle is great: interactive table of contents plus easy to navigate with the 5-way controller.

After reading this short booklet, I know a bit about Fly-Fishing. But I don't feel I know enough to go into a sports shop to buy the equipment, level on actually fish for trout.
