Book Description

Flyday follows 26th century journalist Thomas Huxley as he deals with a most unusual situation—the assassination of a world leader, when his fiancée’s brother is the accused killer. And just when he thinks things can’t get worse, Thomas finds himself contacted by time traveler Ariel Midori, who wants to know why police have been invading her timeline—and mentioning his name.

His fiancée, Zoë, is distressed by news that her brother could be executed. Thomas begins to suspect a cover-up. There’s no physical evidence linking the suspect to the crime, just a confession … but to get to the truth, Thomas must deal with a washed-up rock star, a lieutenant on the lookout for time travelers, and an assassin watching their every move.

5.0 out of 5 stars Time travel and more! January 29, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Flyday is a delightful, fast-paced, fun first novel, combining time-travel and intrigue with timeless themes of love, friendship and family. Laura Bradford has created believable, likeable characters, many of whom are admirably strong women. Readers will likely look forward to following them through future stories. Ms. Bradford effectively avoids getting bogged down in lengthy descriptions or speculations about the future of technology, government, global concerns, etc. and steadfastly focuses on the story at hand, while setting the stage for promising future episodes. - Elisha McCulloh

5.0 out of 5 stars Captivating reading... January 27, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Laura Bradford's debut is an imaginative sience fiction novel about time travelling and people, very different people.
The story is captivating, after beginning to read I couldn't stop until the end. The different plotlines in different times, yes, it's really a novel about time travelling, the different acting characters guarantee an entertaining reading pleasure and the fascinating story doesn't let you stop reading until the end.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good grammar, at least October 21, 2012
By Mike K
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
The author writes readable sentences, but the story was too implausible to accept, and the characters cycled through periods of unexplained stupidity, naivite', heroism, and completely illogical and mysterious choices.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun summer read May 16, 2012

I saw the link to this ebook posted on reddit, downloaded it, and was finished by the next day. It was an entertaining and quick read albeit one that doesn't bring that much more to the table for those familiar with sci-fi/time travel genre conventions. The characters are very entertaining and are certainly the highlight of this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, Futuristic Adventure! May 9, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
FLYDAY reminded me very much of a Dr. Who episode, in the best possible way, instantly sucking me into a strange future where time-travelers exist and timelines interweave effortlessly.

The characters are bright and fun, the dialog witty. This novel was not only imaginative, but the writing kept me engaged throughout. I loved the way this author handled time travel without getting bogged down by paradoxes or overcomplicating things. This book was pure fun from start to finish!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun to Read September 20, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I liked the book, but was a little confused about the time travel time-line at times...but that's probably just me. I recommend this book for those who like science fiction, mysteries, etc. This book contains both and keeps you guessing about what's happening next.

I had a little trouble getting the time travel concept, but I liked it. It was an easy read otherwise.

4.0 out of 5 stars Got to get one of those watches! September 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is an enjoyable read with a complex plot that slowly unfolds around usually invisible time travelers moving through a monarchy from the past. Secret police, rock stars, and regular people intermix to make it interesting. An easy piece to consume.
