This is a great intro to fly fishing in the Keys. Covers what, where and how. One of the better books on fly fishing I've purchased.

Had the pleasure of fishing with Ben and later reading this book. He practices what he preaches...and it works! If you're going to fish the Keys this is the book you want.

The most informative text that I own regarding flyfishing in the keys. Ben Taylor covers it all and tells you how to pursue bones, tarpon, and permit among others. I've read it thoroughly and refer to it regularly. Reads like your sitting one on one with a local legend giving you the "real deal.' You won't be disappointed.

A Treasure Trove and Resource of Great Value,

This review is from: Flyfisher's Guide to the Florida Keys (Wilderness Adventures Flyfishing Guidebook) (Paperback)
I began fishing in the Keys in 1977, with my stepfather and mother who had moved to Key West. Since then, I have fished the waters around Key West, and between Islamorada/Tavernier/Key Largo and Flamingo. Ben Taylor's book is so dense with valuable information about tides, current, wind, weather and fish behavior that I find myself re-reading sections of it every year. It takes some getting used to, but there is a veritable treasure trove of information in this book for those who are willing to dig a little for it. This doesn't mean it's hard to read - just that there's so much there, you couldn't possibly absorb it all in a single reading.
