This review is from: Flying With Angels: Adventures in Microlights (Paperback)
This is a book that will take you into the world of affordable flying.
The book DOES start with a crash, but then goes on to explain what the pilot did wrong - a learning experience. It is a book of real experiences. It takes the reader through some of the best and worst experiences of a person who loves to fly, with the intention of steering pilots away from common pitfalls and toward the pure pleasure of flying lower costing, fun machines. Microlights, or Ultralights as they are called in the USA, open up flying to those who live on a limited income. The adventures of the author will make you want to try ultralighting for yourself! Don't miss this one! If you can't get a copy of the book then CD versions of Flying with Angels are also available at the author's website: [...]

I think flying with angels is an excellent book. The author starts with a warning and then explains how to avoid the crash that he went through. Very interesting and you can tell Mr. Rutland knows his microlights! 5 stars, check it out!

Avoid this book if you are considering this sport...,

This review is from: Flying With Angels: Adventures in Microlights (Paperback)
This is exactly the type of book one wants to avoid if considering a new sport. It starts with a life threatening crash, goes onto a hard landing that bends struts, and then the propeller flies off.....flying microlights can't be anything like this or they would all be dead...Irresponsible to say the least...
