5.0 out of 5 stars Works Great. PAY NO MIND to those that don't even have one.
First of all let's use some common sense here. This product is not intended for you to go strolling around with the damn car seat at your side, that's just silly.

Second, DISREGARD comments or opinions from those that don't have this or even use it. Their opinions should carry zero weight, would you take their advice on food to eat which they themselves don't...

First of all let's use some common sense here. This product is not intended for you to go strolling around with the damn car seat at your side, that's just silly.

Second, DISREGARD comments or opinions from those that don't have this or even use it. Their opinions should carry zero weight, would you take their advice on food to eat which they themselves don't eat?

Third, those that say just take them out and put them in a sling obviously have babies which never wake up and start crying when disturbed. These are the kind of people that probably let their kids scream and cry everywhere and think you should also enjoy their kids too.

I have four kids, 23, 18, 14 and 4 months so I'm not some newbie parent talking out of my arse. This is the first time I've had something like this and let me tell you it is EXTREMELY HANDY. I've been using this since the first month, just bought another car seat and have not transferred the strap to the new seat and what a PITA it is carrying the awkward car seat with your arm or hand compared to having it over my shoulder with two hands completely free. I just bought more velcro and will be transferring the strap tonight, the velcro is simply there to retain the cradle/strap in position, it is not for supporting the load.

It is great for short walks from the car to other people's houses, while visiting the doctor's office so you don't have to wheel around a stroller if you don't wish to, etc. It's not a replacement for a sling or baby Bjorn. I can carry heavy items so the weight is not an issue for me personally but I can see how it could seem a little heavy, my wife says it is a little weighty at times but the convenience is well worth it in her opinion as well. Select a quality lightweight car seat and it'll be that much lighter.

The usefulness of this item was quite a surprise. I wasn't sure how much I'd like it but after owning one for 4 months I am quite pleased and happy to recommend it. You can still carry the seat by the handle if you want but you generally won't after putting this on.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great help to Moms with an infant & toddler/preschooler!, November 27, 2007
This review is from: Flying Falcon Infant Car Seat Carrier (Baby Product)
This is a great product, that has made my life much easier in the few weeks I've had it. It is easier to get my kids in & out of the car, and to walk my oldest (3) in at preschool & pick him up after school. I love my sling for long periods out of the car, but taking my now 8 month old out of the car seat & into the sling just to run in to preschool or go into the house was not practical. Now I can put the seat on my shoulder with the flying falcon, and still have both hands free to help my 3 year old in and out of the car, hold his hand in busy parking lots, or just to carry bags & things into the house quicker & easier! I find the weight of the car seat (we have a Graco SafeSeat) much easier & more comfortable to carry with this than with the handle that is part of the seat. My shoulders & elbows were sore, and I had lots of bruises on my lower legs from bumping into them with the car seat before. Now I don't have any pain, though if I try to stand or walk for long with this on, it gets VERY heavy. My 8 month old seems to like this, too. He's got a better view of the world, and a smoother ride than when I had to carry the car seat in my hand. I would (and do) recommend this to parents - particularly if they have one or more toddler/preschooler.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love This!!!, August 29, 2011

I absolutely love this product! For moms on the go, it's the perfect solution to sore backs, arms and legs. The strap attaches easily to your car seat and allows you to securely and easily carry your baby with you when you're running errands and don't have time/desire to load and unload your stroller. Moms - you know how heavy a car seat can be! Of course, this isn't intended to replace strollers, slings and carriers, but when you use it while you're in and out of the car multiple times, you'll love it!! Guaranteed!

1.0 out of 5 stars Buy A Sling Instead!, March 21, 2011
This review is from: Flying Falcon Infant Car Seat Carrier (Baby Product)
Why add more strain to your back and also keep your baby away from you? Car Seats are for the car! There are dozens of other ways to safely and comfortably carry a baby like a pouch, a wrap, a ring-sling, a soft-structed baby carrier, a mei-tai. [...], [...], [..], [...] - endless choices! And you can find some great inexpensive ones on [...], [...] etc.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lifesaver!, October 25, 2011
This review is from: Flying Falcon Infant Car Seat Carrier (Baby Product)
I felt as though this was one of the most useful baby gear items I purchased when I had my first. He was a big baby and I always had my arms full of things - work bag, purse, diaper bag, pump bag, etc. and freeing up both hands to be able to safely get out the door was a huge help. I also developed tendonitis in my wrist from carrying the carrier but this helped to resolve that problem.

I did like using slings and wraps also but for transport from car to indoors this was easy to not have to unbuckle baby, wrap baby, etc in a parking lot (in the middle of winter).

Now we are expecting #2 and I'll have a toddler to hold hands with and all the same bags. Ideally, I could use an extra set of hands but in the meantime, the flying falcon will have to do.

Seriously love this thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Thing Since Sliced Bread!!!, November 5, 2007

Cam's Mom (San Rafael, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Flying Falcon Infant Car Seat Carrier (Baby Product)
I am shocked to see all the negative reviews of this product! Sadly, it seems like the bad reviews were written by people who didn't even own the carrier. Come on... who in their right mind is carrying their car seats around any longer than they have to? Of course it's best to hold your baby instead of sticking it in a carrier all day, BUT EVEN IF YOU ONLY USED THIS PRODUCT TO GET YOUR BABY FROM THE HOUSE TO THE CAR, IT WOULD BE WORTH EVERY PENNY. It reduces the strain on my back by distributing the weight between the arms and shoulders. I'm buying extras for baby shower gifts.

5.0 out of 5 stars Older Mom w/carpel tunnel and tennis elbow, August 31, 2008
This review is from: Flying Falcon Infant Car Seat Carrier (Baby Product)
If you have ANY wrist, elbow or shoulder problems (I'm 42) this is a MUST have. Pooh pooh on the nay sayers!! Don't listen to them! I wasn't sure about this product, but at 15 dollars thought I'd give it a try. I am soooo happy that I got it as my just barely 5 month old is now 20 pounds. I tend to stand straighter with this product. Trully, my back is always sore just from lifting my baby out of her crib.

Don't listen to those who had a hard time installing - silly ladies! Hint = Attach the velcro to the belt FIRST. Then line the thing up and hold it in place with one hand while the other peels off the sticky tab. It's a no brainer and took me all of 2 minutes to attach it.

Everytime I'm out and using this, I'm always asked where did I get it. I now have typed out the info on biz cards to hand out. THAT'S HOW MUCH PEOPLE FIND VALUE IN IT.

Whatdayamean it's not a "sub" for bonding. PLEASE ladies! We know that. Yet, I do interact w/my angel more when I'm using it. Why, because she's so close to my face. It's physics not child psychology. I'm in the military and CONSTANTLY standing in a line - so this is a godsend. EVEN seniors marvel at the ingenuity.

If you are on the fence with this product, spend the $15 (maybe $20 w/shipping). It's not like you're spending $50. Jeeze, I can barely buy myself lunch (w/tip) for $20. I'd happily give up my weekly lunch to experiment with a product.

Buy it, use it and be prepared for the "...where did you get that..."

5.0 out of 5 stars It's a BIG help!, September 7, 2008
This review is from: Flying Falcon Infant Car Seat Carrier (Baby Product)
I live in Chicago where street parking [a few blocks from home] is a fact of life. My home is in a three flat apartment, on the third floor. I have a 20+ pound son and a ten pound car seat to carry up sixty stairs. If it wasn't for the Flying Falcon, I simply couldn't perform this feat day in, day out! Since getting the carrier, aching wrists and a sore back are things of the past.
I think that new parents never anticipate how heavy infant car seats are going to be. It doesn't seem to sink in until they're carrying the baby into their home for the first time, and they're like "Whoa, wait a minute..." I highly recommend this product to any parent! It makes a wonderful baby shower gift.

3.0 out of 5 stars but think about this. . . ., October 16, 2007
This review is from: Flying Falcon Infant Car Seat Carrier (Baby Product)
I totally agree that baby interaction/ snuggling is THE most important. However, consider this: I have to bring my car seat into my son's daycare, as we only have one car seat and my husband picks up our son, and I drop off. I am not physically capable of carrying him and the car seat, separately. The solution is that we bring our stroller in, every morning, so that I can at least look at him and talk with him, and also in some attempt to save my back. Sure, we could have bought two car seats, but really, how much stuff can one have? That just seemed over the top, and we'd rather put our money toward other things. The falcon can help with the amount of stuff and lugging that two working parents are forced to deal with.
