Book Description

March 5, 2013 2 - 5 years
A fantasy children's book intended for infants and toddlers, Flying Henry follows the story of a baby who develops a magical ability to fly. Aware of his rare gift, he soars through his home, into nature, and unfamiliar places, testing the limits of his new skill by examining the world around him from the sky and embarking on great adventures. But, eventually Henry grows lonely and has to learn a very important secret about flying in order to fully enjoy his gift.

Realistic looking flight rendered by artist Rachel Hulin with the willing support of her son, Henry, is an exceptional addition to the genre of photographic children's books and will appeal to adults as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful for children, and for adults too! March 27, 2013

An utterly charming book which might intrigue adults as well as children.

Rachel Hulin's "Flying Baby" photos caused a minor internet sensation last year when they appeared in a number of blogs, and now she has gathered to together some of the best and linked them with a simple storyline. This is the kind of book which you can sit and talk about with your child - plenty to see in each photo as well as the magically levitated Henry.

Rachel Hulin has read my flying dreams and brought them to life in these delightful photographs, which will be sure to become a collector's item in years to come. And unlike many books for children, this one is sensibly priced and worth buying for all your young friends. I've bought four so far, more to follow!
