This is always the first book I do with my beginner ESL students. I love the story, the vocabulary used in the book, the instructive and appropriate pictures, as well as the themes and questions that it raises. I had a very low student tell me last year that "Flying Home" was his favorite book. It totally got him excited about reading! An excellent instructional resource. |
