In another review, I compared the roles of female vocalists to being an older sister, a sweetheart, a younger sister, and a daughter. Annie Herring definitely fits into the first category. I was saved at a 2nd Chapter Of Acts concert (which included Annie, her sister Nellie Greisen, and her brother Matthew Ward).

This is classic Annie. It has more of a rock sound than some of her other projects (such as the earlier "Search Deep Inside" and the later "Wonder"), though it does not come across as a 2nd Chapter project without the harmonies (as her first solo project, "Through A Child's Eyes" does. I don't know if it is still true, but Annie went through a period of time not listening to music on the radio so that when she writes, it is more the Spirit directing through her own style/talent as opposed to being influenced by other artists. This project does reflect her unique style, with classical quality vocals.

My favorites on this project include "Searchin'", "Heart Of Stone", "Here On This Sphere", "Child You're Not Alone", and to a very slightly lesser degree the other five songs on the project.
