This review is from: Flying Radio-Controlled Model Aircraft (Paperback)
The intent of this book is to augment the official training of a club instructor pilot. For that purpose it succeeds rather well. It is a small, short book that covers the basics of both nitro and electric models. It covers basic flight, including takeoffs and landings, and of course safety.
If you are learning on your own it is not a bad book to pick up but you will need to find a lot more information elsewhere.

This review is from: Flying Radio-Controlled Model Aircraft (Paperback)
This book is excellent -- concise, well illustrated, and obviously written by someone with a lot of experience in both flying and teaching others. Great book for beginners, or even those who are contemplating learning to fly RC.

This review is from: Flying Radio-Controlled Model Aircraft (Paperback)
Flying an R/C aircraft for the first time can be likened to learning to drive a motorcar and if you want to minimise the risk of destroying your hard-earned investment in a few seconds then it's wise to learn as much as possible beforehand. This book provided what I wanted to know so I give it a 4 star rating
