· The Baker Gurvitz Army formed in 1974 and was the first rock band drummer Ginger Baker joined after he played with super groups Cream and Blind Faith. Fronted by the Gurvitz brothers, guitarist Adrian and bassist Paul, the band recorded three albums in a period of three years, two of which charted in the USA on Janus and Atco label respectively.
