My favorite uncle was always called "Pink". As a big burly guy with dark hair and a ruddy complexion, I was curious as to how he came by that moniker. When I discovered that another of my uncles had been a great fan of the books by Bowers, and had named him after one of the characters in the series, I just had to get a copy. Thanks to the great search function on Amazon, I was able to locate this book. It meant a lot to me, as anyone who reads my book called "Hungry Flats" will know.
