2.0 out of 5 stars Much to Brief, September 13, 2002

I would call this more of an outline than a Book.
The coverage of the subject was very skimpy.
There was no real information for the Student to learn flying.
It seemed more for the instructor as basic outline.

3.0 out of 5 stars instructional briefings is what it is!, July 3, 2003

I bought this book when i was instructing people how to fly ultralights. At the time, there was virtually no information on instructing in ultralights and this book filled this void. There are plently of flight instructor books for general aviation but this book helped in focusing on the nuances of ultralight flying.

I beleive that it is not quite comprehensive enough for a student to use as a textbook. there are probably better books available for that.

If you are a new instructor, this book may be of use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Training Materal, September 20, 2011

I wase looking for a book that would be a good instructional guide for a student ultralight pilot and this is one of the best on the market. Doug has laid out the lessons in order and the only thing I question is formation flight. That is a lesson for byond the intro student pilot. I think navigation should be referenced more and updated.

I would suggest for a person going to instruct a ultralight pilot.
