Product Description

Lee Owen has a second chance for love. Most of the action centers around the sport of ultralight flying at Hilltop Airport, a small airport in the rolling hills of North Carolina. The story begins with the heroine, Lee Owen, as she is about to celebrate her tenth wedding anniversary. At 60, Lee recalls a time twenty years earlier, and the story unfolds through flashbacks. Lee becomes interested in ultralights and takes flying lessons. In this male-dominated sport, Lee finds frustration as she learns to fly and finally, confidence as her skills sharpen. Helping her through her training and some of life's turbulence is Jim Tezak, her flight instructor, a retired Air Force pilot, turned ultralight instructor. During the course of events at Hilltop, Lee faces dramatic events that change the course of her life. After several tragic events, Lee, finds that regaining her life and a possible second chance at love is almost as difficult to achieve as learning to fly.

5.0 out of 5 stars A choice and riveting read for those who are seeking romance, March 10, 2010
This review is from: Flying Wires (Paperback)
In the air is no place to be fighting one's emotions. "Flying Wires" tells the story of Lee Owen, as she tries to embrace the world of light air craft. Along with her husband, she finds her new hobby and embraces it, but when her instructor begins to weigh in more than just a teacher, Lee finds that she might be challenged with more than piloting the craft. "Flying Wires" is a choice and riveting read for those who are seeking romance.
