A book of Catalog,
This review is from: Flying Without a Broom: Astral Projection and the Astral World (Paperback)
This book doesn't tell you much on the "Hows", but rather the "Wheres and Whats".... Not much on techniques. This is like a Catalog on where you can go or what you can do on the Astral. Though, you can apply the techniques to have an exit, but then again, no one uses the same technique. I give it 5 stars since this is one of a kind - There isn't much book out there to tell you what to experience or do in the Astral. Its also fun to read to see what is available out there. The book will act as your guide to the Astral. I find it nice to go through it when you want to project. For those who are trying to project, this book will give you a feel of the Astral Realm.

Worth Owning!,

Unlike others above who have read this book, I was blown away & found nothing ridiculous or absurd about this book, it was true for me that my OOBE's weren't as clear & strange as those described but I did get a chance to visit some places I'd never been before & meet some very interesting people(and a few that are no longer on this planet that I was able to say good-bye to) even if it was all in my mind, it was a wonderful experience & I thank D.J for being a great guide/role model for those of us who are serious about astral projection & enhancing our experiences. If you read or even buy this book I guarantee tha you won't be dissapointed. When I was reccomended this book from a friend's boyfriend, I was a little hesitant but after reading the first few chapters, I couldn't put it down & had to own a copy for myself! If you've read other novels on OOBE's then give this one a shot, at least read it & you will see that it's one you'll want in your collection!

As a newcomer to astral travel, I found the material in this book helpful. How each person astral travels can be different, but I found the author's "guide" to astral travel to be quite good. She describes numerous "general topics" about astral travel, including the astral plane, time travel, healing and magick in the astral plane, and contacting spiritual teachers and guides. She gives guided meditation examples for each of these topics. I found her section on "travelling" to Atlantis intriguing for example. She also describes the types of entities you will find while travelling. While most are "good" and "helpful," there are "dark entities," which are found on the lower astral levels. She discusses ways of avoiding them and also spends an entire chapter discussing "astral defense," which is ways not only to avoid these "bad entities," but also ways to protect yourself if you sense you are under some form of "attack" while on the astral plane. While I greatly enjoyed this book, I'm in agreement with another reviewer who suggests reading other books on this topic. It's one that cannot be covered in one single book. However, this one is an excellent place to start.
