I have been flying electric RC airplanes for a number of years. I wanted a good 2.4GHZ programmable transmitter I could use with the receivers I already had with my older basic 2.4GHZ Flysky.

After some online research I decided that for the price, the FS-T6 had the features I was looking for and at a reasonable price.

Pros: The transmitter has a bright, easy to read LCD screen which displays the model you are flying and how much battery you have left. It also has an audible alarm when the battery is too low. It is rich with many features and after a half hour of playing with the programming buttons it becomes fairly easy to use. The FS-T6has features that only more expensive transmitters have.
You can adjust the servo throws, servo response, reverse controls, set the screen brightness, dual rates and set up many different models of planes and helicopters for your menu.

Cons: The shiny plastic finish cheapens the appearance but once you start using the transmitter you can overlook that. My FS-T6 did not come with any instructions except for a small (useless) CD which didn't have any information on it. After finding Flysky on the internet, [...] , I was able to download the instruction booklet and print it out.

When this model was first released it was even cheaper but fraught with problems. It was removed from the market for several months. When released for sale more recently it is about $20 more now but it appears that the problems from the first batch have been corrected. I confirmed this in an email to Flysky and decided to make a purchase.

Overall I am pleased with my purchase and would say that you can't find a competing transmitter with these features for less than $175.

SAW THIS RADIO AND THE PRICE OF IT AND THOUGHT TO MYSELF, JUST HOW CHEAP CAN THIS RADIO BE? wELL, TO MY SURPRISE,WASN'T ALL THAT BAD AFTER ALL. NO INSTRUCTION MANUAL COMES WITH IT, BUT I HAVE A JR. DX6i AND PROGRAMMING WAS EASY. IT HAS 4 STICK MODES, WHICH MY JR DOESN'T. IT DOESN'T HAVE A TIMER WHICH MY JR DOES. IT HAS 20 MODEL MEMORY (20 AIR, 20 HELI). LOW BATTERY WARNING. MOST OF THE COOL THINGS A DX6i HAS. BINDING WAS FACTORY SET. SOME PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS RADIO, BUT FOR $50, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? OVERALL, I REALLY LIKE THIS RADIO. I DON'T HAVE ANY PRO'S OR CON'S ABOUT THIS RADIO. THE RECEIVER ARE GOOD TOO. BEFORE GOING OUT AND BUYING A TOP DOLLAR RADIO, GIVE THIS ONE A TRY FIRST. BUY SOME RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES CAUSE THIS RADIO TAKES 8 AA'S.

I've flown RC off and on for some 41 years now.My father and I built my first radio from an old Heath kit and rotary dial telephone.
I have flown Futaba for ever and have many FM radios.
Wanting to update and upgrade a bit, I began looking for a "less expensive" radio with similar features to Futaba as far as computer programming and setup goes. That led me to Flysky.

I received my Flysky FS-T6 radio and receiver (6channel) about two months ago.
The box was easy enough to set up and looked as though it would work well in my flat 3D foamie. After installing the radio and a few (close and tight) flights, the box worked well and the plane flew solid lines.A few other friends with their radios in hand came and stood around me and the box controls remained solid.
One quirk I did notice is this... Duel Rates... for whatever reason, My low rates are set low and my high rates are set for full deflection for 3D.When switching between high and low rates, It changes my trim settings and I have to retrim for the different high/low settings. The closer my duel rates are to each other the less of an issue this problem is. Set your low rates to a small throw and your high rates to full and see what you get when flying. This may be a quirk with this box only. All appeared well otherwise and my confidence grew in this box.
I purchased a second Flysky 6 channel receiver and installed it in my Giles-202. The plane flew as it should and responded well to the stick inputs.(Most of my 3D and pattern flying is in somewhat close proximity to the transmitter.)I started shooting some approaches just for practice as my time on this plane is limited. I was flying a crosswind base leg and preparing to turn for finale when I lost all contact with the airplane.

This is my second T6, the first one was awesome to say the least. I could fly my 450 size quad out of sight , probably over 1/4 mile up. instant responsiveness, great menu allows you to reverse channels and mix up settings, nice back lit display. I was flying one day when it decided to lose signal mid flight, bashed up my quad pretty good. Well just ordered a second hoping it was a fluke because i really like the T6. I will probably just go for a spec 6i next. Im not into the naza , fpv stuff now, maybe one day. but for 60 bucks , when it works this tx/rx is pretty sweet.

save your money you have a 50/50 chance this radio will work.Mine did not work from the start it would lose contact with the reciever and cause the model to lose control.I contacted the manufacturer they started out to sound helpfull for two emails then they just stopped replies once I explained the problem.I looked up this radio on other model airplane fourums and a lot of other people have had the same problems as me.
