I'm a 13yr. old going on 14 female. I read Flyy Girl not too long ago, and I LOVED IT!! I loved the book soo much I finished the book in 2days no lie. I didnt never want to put it down but my ppl(people) made me. I spent $15.00 on Flyy Girl and HONEST it was worth every cent. I cant wait to read the next book about Tracy,she becomes a star. I wounder if they'll make a movie about Flyy Girl. I hope so. In that book Tracy has been through alot. I've been through all of what Tracy has been through,except for the sex. I hope her and Victor got together. So Mr.Omar Tyree on Flyy Girl I give you a MAD,GOOD,EXCELLENT JOB!And keep writing on teen-related books. But Flyy Girl should put you to the top. If you havent purchased Flyy Girl you should. Cause i'll tell you, honest,you havent read a good book till you have read Flyy Girl! So go right now to a bookstore nearest to you and buy it. Go,go,go,go your waisting time.......

I read Flyy Girl and automatically I realized Tracey was me I am 23 years of age and I brought a Fendi sweatsuit in the 8th grade just like her Gucci sweatsuit. When I wore this sweatsuit I had all eyes on me. and I walked the walk and talked the talk by the age of 16 I had dealt with so many boys I had a phone book that I not only had the phone ## in I also had what kind of car the guy drove and if you didn't have a car I would not talk to you, By the age of 17 I stopped putting your name in the phone book by first letter n name if the guy had a Lexus you can find his name under L. I had a girl I looked up to who I thought all I ever wanted was 2 have what she had who also went down the wrong road, I had the big earrings with my name in them. I got tied, honestly I got tied and Omar Tyree hit it when Tracey calmed down at the end. I was very surprised that this was a male writer I just could not see a male knowing the experiences I had as a teenager. 2 thumbs up 2 Omar Tyree keep writing books that no one can put down.

As a young black aspiring author,I think Omar Tyree has hit asoft spot in the hearts of any teenager who has read this book. At theage of 16, I can personally relate to the feeling of competing with the fad's that society has set for us teenager's,the illusion's that mislead into a path that we may feel is "COOL!". The truth is there is a little bit of Tracy Ellison in all of us young teenager's. We have this yearn for exploring what we haven't learned in the household. But it is only at our disgrestion that we change our path to better ourselves. Which means realizing that fashion, popularity,crime and sex is a trap set to send all the young fertile black minds astray from the potential they possess to be our nations most intellectual leaders.Tracy's transition in character proved that the fast lanes kept her from attaining all the information that she really needed to flourish in this nation we have made. I came close to tears as I sat up late last night finishing Omar Tyree's masterpiece. This booked touched me so much I woke up this morning with the aspiration's to get every young teenager in America to read this book and boy's are not excluded they may need this more than us girls do.

oMg .....wHere Do i sTarT? Flyy girl is one of the greatest books written for teens if not the greatest.I first read the book in the 7th grade and im still taking about it and now im in high school! This girl Tracy has it going on. ....She dont pLaY! I fell in love w/ her character when i read the first page.This book should be required reading for every teenager in the world. Reading Tracy's story is like looking into a life style that you would die for.Omar Tyree did it up so big with this book. They should make it into a movie. And if they did i would have to be the person to play Tracy. There is so much i could say about this book but i dont think there are words invented to express how good this book is. SO im gonna leave it up to you to read it and you can find the right words.

what can i say, i started this book and thought it would be boring. But then i kept on reading and reading and reading, finally i was stuck in the book. Mercedes reminds me of myself now at the age of 16. Tracy is me when i was yournger the same things she did what she was younger i did too!!! I am the type of peson that dosn't like to read books, but when i read this i wanted more. Now that i have read 2 of Omar Tyree's books, i know i am going to keep on reading. I know when i have children one day i am going to get them all his books so they can read them. This books teaches you lessons not to be dumb and try to grow up to fast. I am only 16 but i feel that this book taught me alot. i think this book should be on every teen girls bookshelf. I know it's on mine :-)

In the book "Flyy Girl" relates to many teens today. Tracy is learning things like teenage girls do today. She then decides to pay attention. I was moved by this book. This book encouraged me to change my ways because in my mind I was becoming Tracy. This book has truely changed my life.

Omar Tyree is an excellent author, it really suprised me when I finished that this book was written by a male. I am a 17 year old female who has experienced some things in this book. I honestly finished the book in five hours! I read it all the time and each time is better and funnier than the last. This book also gave the opportunity to talk with my boyfriend about a few key points!I recommend this book for everyone! All my friends want to borrow it ,KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MR.TYREE!

Yes Yes Yes i have read this book and i should say this book is FLYY and whoever that don't agree with me don't know nothing good...I'm am a 15 mature young girl and I think this book is very good.

I am a teenager , who thought I knew it all. Once I read this book , I realized that i didn't have all the answers. This book did not give us a bad image, as some one put before me, it gave Everyone who read it an inside look in the world that goes on around us. Just because you don't understand something, and you don't realize how it can affect you, Please don't down grade it. This book also showed the trials and tribulations of growing up, from the first sexual encouter, to the finding of your own idenity. This book was basically a god sent for a lot of females that I know. This book wasn't made to down play our youth , it was made to show how we struggle as children, and inventually comprehend as adults, and learn from out mistakes. This is what i picked up from it, and I thank god for it. So to the other review that said it down played our youth. I think you should read it again, and then allow some other people to read it. Then have an open dissucssion about the topic. Then see what every one else comes up with ,then decide. No offence please, I just feel that you never gave the book a chance.

I enjoyed Flyy girl from beginnig to end. The style of Mr. Tyree's dialouge is sooo tight. Although it was set in the 80's, but females of the 90's can still connect, that just goes to show you things havent changed that much. Everyone liked Victor, except me. It was sweet the way it turned out but I would've have stopped trying. All my friends have read it, and we bond and quote and ask trivia questions about the book. I read it at least 3 times. It made me want to read more and I have read at least 4 more books after that. Get you Butt up and read it. IT IS BOMB , I wouldnt lie to ya.
