Product Description

The Buddha Machine 4, now comes in eye-catching neon colors and features four loops for ultimate aural bliss-in-a-box. Beijing duo Christiaan Virant and Zhang Jian are the designers behind this ingenious device and composed new ambient loops for this fourth iteration of their hugely popular machine. Like it's predecessors, the Buddha Machine 4 features a pitch wheel so you can manipulate the drones and tones to your liking. Combine with multiple Buddha Machines and form a mini ambient orchestra of little boxes to make you feel like you're floating on a cloud of sound. Championed by everyone from the New Yorker, Wall Street Journal, David Byrne Brian Eno, Pitchfork and many more. Runs on two AA batteries (not included).

Wow! What a piece of junk. I should have listened to the other reviewer. Mine arrived broken, too. The on/off switch doesn't click so the thing never turns off. I've purchased all of the previous Buddha Machines and they felt more solid ... and worked. I know the cheapness and crummy speaker are part of the low-tech appeal of these devices, but this one has cut more corners and is simply trash molded into a colorful shape. I'll be returning it for a refund and won't buy another.

I was looking forward to this silly funny thing -- but it was broken on arrival, so I returned it.
