Pros: Simple, lightweight, portable, easy to repair.
Cons: (none) Other thoughts: Great toy for all ages. Foam doesn't hurt much. You will definitely want more than one. I got two, one for my cousin and one for my brother, whom are 3, they have had more fun with these than most of their other gifts. Definite buy for high energy people.

I got a pair of these for my 1 1/2 year old last Christmas thinking they would be perfect for him and his daddy to use sword fighting. They are great, they do not hurt when you get hit with them and they are a lot of fun. They have lasted great for a year, and now we are looking for additional swords. These are one of his favorite toys. You have to have at least two of them though!

This foam sword is great fun for kids ages 3-30, but not as durable as I'd hoped. A few good smacks and the sword detatches from the handle. Good for the kids' birthday party I bought them for.
