I found this mattress for my mother. The mattress is identical to more expensive memory foam beds and it is at a great price. These are simply the most comfortable type of beds that are sold. After purchasing it, I bought a memory foam topper for my own spring bed; memory foam is so much better than spring mattresses.

As far as the smell goes, the bed that we received had absolutely no smell whatsoever. Not even a faint odor.

I've had this Mattress for a little less than a year (shipped Sept 2009). The Mattress has been in my NY area apartment and used perhaps 20 weeks during the last year. While I really liked the Mattress when it first showed up, over the last year, the foam has become much less firm, to the point where the Mattress is uncomfortable and is bothering my back.

After years on spring mattresses, individually wrapped coil mattresses, plush pillow tops, etc & never being totally satisfied, I decided to hop on the memory foam wagon. I was skeptical at first, so I researched the Foamex Company & found nothing but stellar reviews for their products. And they're eco-friendly, such a big plus. After about a month of using this mattress, I just love it & am so happy with it. It's incredibly comfortable & supportive (& affordable!). I cannot recommend this product enough & plan on buying more from the Foamex Company, eventually upgrading to a thicker mattress. Sleep well.
