I started surfing recently using a plastic "fun board" and it was quite difficult getting the hang of it. However, with this "foamie board", I have quickly progressed and will soon be moving on to proper board. Kool board!!

It will ride a wave with no problem, but if you are over 175lbs then do not buy this. You will need wax so you will have more traction and you will need to ride the "back" of the board. No toes on the nose here!!! Also, bring epoxy in case it delaminates anywhere. What bothers me is that the board did not show up in "Retail Packaging". It was wraped in tape, bubble wrap, and plastic wrap. The accessories were taped to the top. I at least expected a box. But, the damage is not worth the hassle of a retun. I do like the weight and feel of the board, it is easy to control and won't cut you if it hits you or more importantly someone else!!!! Of course there is no stringer so it likes to flex, it might bend but it won't break. For the price it beats any "boogie board", so if you want to graduate to surfing or just need someting inexpensive that you are not worried about messing up then this is a good value. If you surf everyday then save your money and get a nice custom board, about $500.00 to $1000.00. Keep it safe, don't get in over your head, and don't drop in on other peoples waves.

The product is very nice, but really bad quality, only lasted for my 2 sessions, after that the board bended like a banana, the item is just for kids, under 10 years old or less, this could not be buyed be an adult, I do surf and I bought it for my cousin, thought it would be better.

My son ( 10 years old ) was going to surf camp and he needed a board. They have the option to rent for $100.00 for the week which would be in my terms money wasted. I went to Amazon like I normally do for most of my on-line shopping and this popped up. I was highly skeptical but for about $100.00 I took a chance. We also had a used 8 foot board that my younger daughter was using. My son had a harder time learning on the shorter board and spent some time with the longer one which was more stable and easier to learn on. This board is shorter and is more maneuverable but those things make it harder to learn on because it is less stable. Once he got "the idea" and switched back to this board he had a great time. It is lightweight and should only be used for kids or anemic adults but it is perfect for someone just starting out. The learning curve will be longer than using a longer board but once they "get it" then it is absolutely perfect for the beginner. Why spend the money on a boogie board when with a few dollars you can have a surfboard. The added benefit is that they look so cool on the roof rack.
You know............catch a wave and you are sitting on top of the world. Best $100.00 I have spent in a long time.

I have a 9 and 7 year old daughter. Bought these boards for them to learn how to surf on. For their age, they're perfect boards to learn on.

The boards are not made to last, as they are light foam material with a plastic bottom. You will dent, scratch and chip the board and it's artwork just attaching the fins on.

A good option to make sure your kids will learn and enjoy surfing before investing $400+ on a more long term board. This board is not made for adults.

I've purchased several items from Amazon and have not had a complaint. Shipping service have been quick and the prices have always been great.

I got this for a friend to start surfing with me. This thing has no riggid support.. so it bends and is completely unstable in the water. It does float.. A LOT.. but standing on this thing is next to impossible. The surface is too slippery and as I said it moves more than a snake.

Also the leash that comes with it is a death trap, so if you plan on getting this buy a real leash and toss the one that comes with it.

These boards look like my kids are going to have a blast on. Unfortunatly we live in New Jersey and have to wait till next summer to use them. These are christmas gift and just started to shop a little early this year. I will post another review on these boards when they are used next summer. However they look and feel great for kids only. I recently just started surfing, and i thought this board would be perfect for me since im a beginner. So i bought this board, an i was surprised when it arrived to my house. It was very.....foamy and it felt like a boogy board. I tried it out in the ocean, didnt go so well. This surfboard is NOT perfect for beginners, beginners should have longboards, such as 8ft and 9ft boards, not 6ft. When i went surfing, it was too slippery and wobbly. Whenever i tried to stand up on this board, it went the other way on the waves and lost control because it was made out of cheap plastic. Also, since it is a foamy material, it got alot of cuts and scratches on the board. And since the board has been in the water, half the paint came off and now there's a huge white spot in the middle of my board. Now, i only use this board in my pool to practice, while im also saving up for a new board that actually WORKS.
