5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, June 13, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Fobia (Audio CD)
This is one of the best cd's I own. All of the songs are very well written and structured. This album is the beginning of a fresh band with a lot of good material. I believe Fobia went downhill after this album. They were a great band and this is their best work. Their greatist hits cd takes most of the songs from this album. Worth every penny.

4.0 out of 5 stars Powerful and insane--Fobia es Unico, November 21, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Fobia (Audio CD)
Fobia is a crazy band! It's good solid "rock en espa~ol" that's fun to jump around to, and the lyrics are amazingly weird. "Moscas," for example, is about a delusion that a swarm of flies is going to carry you away ("van a bajar por mi y me quieren llevar a no se que lugar, muy lejos ya de aqui"). Fun stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely my favorite rock en espanol album!, November 23, 1999

I actually bought this album for a report I was doing for a college Latin music class, and I was blown away! I couldn't stop listening to it. Their other albums are good, too, but this one is my favorite. Stylistically, it is similar to 80s pop groups, especially Head on the Door-era Cure, but with quirkier lyrics. It is somewhat of an emotional rollercoaster, going through some of the best bass-driven, 80s-styled keyboard accented pop I've heard, and mixing that with more meloncholy tunes like the final song, "el crucifijo", which is once again very comparable to The Cure (can you tell I'm also a Cure fan?). Anyway, if you like 80s pop, you'll love this album!

A Kid's Review

This album despite, being their first time, is a very good album. Moscas, puedo rascarme solo, el crucifijo, el microbito, and los munecos are their best songs.
