Only good for specific groups
This book is really only good for the counseling groups that are listed in the table of contents. There is really no discussion of how to conduct a group or general group exercises. I was disappointed with it.

Great book for clinicians who want to run different types of groups. This book is fantastic in that it has a weekly module outline for each type of issue that a clinician wants to run a group on. It takes the work out of trying to create a structure from scratch for a weekly group. Guidelines for screenings for each group and homework assignments are also included for each group topic. Have not found any other book so far that covers many types of group topics in one book.

This is a fantastic resource for clinicians/students who are already trained in conducting group psychotherapy to apply their skills to specific topic-focused groups. With the variety of topics presented, it also provides a nice implicit framework for designing a group around a different topic.
