A book of flashing interest!,
By Hiram Gomez Pardo (Valencia, Venezuela) - See all my reviews (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER) (TOP 1000 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Focus On Citizen Kane (Paperback)
If there's a book more compelling, absorbing and exciting about the amount and quality of information about several points of views of renowned critics - but above all about Welles by himself - in three fundamental interviews please, be my guest
The most you read this arresting book, the more you are engaged to it, because it's absolutely involving. Just reading the admirable capacity of Welles of generating smart answers and letting opened to the reader's imagination, sharp reflections or questions without answers, you feel the figure of the interviewer is a simple link between this colossus and us. Peter Cowie's analysis's deserves apart mention. Briefness and conciseness shake hands in this admirable and penetrating around the transcendence of Citizen Kane. For all kind of public in general, but specially recommended for all teachers of dramatic schools and those acting or directing students. |
