5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent texts
The Focus on Pronunciation books by Linda Lane are excellent coursebooks for the classroom. The layout is clear and logical, and I found the full front drawings of lip position particularly helpful. The Focus on Pronunciation books by Linda Lane are excellent coursebooks for the classroom. The layout is clear and logical, and I found the full front drawings of lip position particularly helpful. (I never could make the profile view intelligible to students, but lip position is more than half the battle.) She utilizes the standard techniques, but also has some interesting ideas for activities. The rhythmn and intonation sections are a bit skimpy; you'll probably want to do more. Overall, a solid, logical, clear student text.

My wife was skeptical she could receive it in time to do her any good. She was very pleased with the prompt delivery and condition of the book.
