Perfect book for skeptics who know little about psychodrama, January 12, 2000
This review is from: Focus On Psychodrama: The Therapeutic Aspects of Psychodrama (Paperback)
I found this book to be extremely helpful for those skeptical therapists who have always heard about and know very little, but questioned the therapeutic aspects of psychodrama. it is a wonderful introduction to psychodrama as a therapeutic method and as a theory of personality, and is objective in that it separates the charismatic founder of psychodrama from the the method and theory that have developed over the years. A wonderful, readable book that is, I believe, a must buy for therapists who have been missing out on psychodrama as a part of their tools for therapeutic change.

Fascinating look at the components of psychodrama, March 29, 2007
This review is from: Focus On Psychodrama: The Therapeutic Aspects of Psychodrama (Paperback)
This book is a classic in the field, and as a trainer, I often suggest this book to my students. Kellermann masterfully shows the many roles -- director, psychotherapist, producer and the like -- that a competant psychodramatist must master to direct a good psychodrama in a pyschotherapeutic setting. For newcomers, this book gives a thorough overview of the method; for experienced psychodramatists, this book offers a good review of the complexities of this powerful method that helps people heal and grow. As always, it is suggested that people receive training to accompany their book learning before practicing this method.
