This is a well-crafted song, and the recording of the kick drum is killer, but I'm thinking that there's something here that's just a bit "off".

I think that it has something to do with the vocals...the chorus is where I notice it most. It sounds as if either Cyndi or the background vocalist is slightly sharp or flat...I'm not sure which...it's so slight...the amount that's just enough to make me cringe a bit.

I'm not sure if it's just me. Am I losing my hearing, or does anyone else feel the same?

When I downloaded this track, I expected to hear a nice, folk-pop song. Instead, Harvell's voice is very screechy and whiny, especially on the chorus. She sounded like a sick Mindy McCready. The sad part is that you can listen to her voice and tell that she can do so much better. Try again, Cyndi.

This song is like a good wine, listen to it more and you'll enjoy it more. Very intricate music and any well made country sounding music is always good.

I'm taking the position that the three previous reviews all have something right. Yes, it's a great song, and I'm sure that if I had the chance to hear Cyndi Harvell live, I'd enjoy it a lot.

But something is a bit off: it's the overly nasal quality her voice gets when she holds a note. It grates a little. Not sure I'd characterize her as 'screechy,' but it's noticeable.

Still, I'm willing to hear more of her music; I bet it will grow on me.

This song is amazing! Powerful and uplifting. I want to jump out of my chair and dance every time I listen to it! I saw Harvell live and she is even more amazing in concert. Her music is extremely dynamic with a combination of soothing ballads and uplifting Americana Rock. She has a rich and soulful voice. I highly recommend checking out one of her shows.
