We bought this book for friends who are living now in Paris (and we are French and we know Parish quit well) They have got 3 children and they are thrilled with this book. It gives them plenty ideas to do with the kids. Very easy and good explenation (and it doens't stop with the main attraction!)
So if you are going to Paris or somebody is going to live there this will be a great book!

This book calmed me down. When we decided to go to Paris with our 3 and 7 year old boys, we could only think of all of the things we could NOT do. This book let me know how each site would work with kids and what to expect. It also included a number of sites I had not really noticed in our Lonely Planet guide, but which turned out to be great.

My seven year old really got into it. It has a flip-cartoon of the Eiffel Tower, which he flipped over and over again before settling on a page to read. It really excited him.

I strongly recommendation this book if you are going with kids.

Took a 5 and 8 year old to Paris and this book was a great help! Nice, accurate descriptions of activities and sights and helpful information about public transportation to each one. Great small size enables you to take it along in a purse or tote. Got the Washington DC book for our trip there as well.

This book has all the details necessary to make an enjoyable trip with your kids to Paris. Just fabuous. My daughter and I visited Paris and found this guide most helpful. All the good stuff with not all the fluff. There are sections that cover food, playgrounds, and other fun outdoor activities. All in all, I had a wonderful time with my daughter where this guide definately helped with all its ideas. Fudor's is the best, and I hope to see other in the series for trips I may have in the future. So this book is both action and info packed, totally awesome with tons of useful information that I could not remcoment any higher---as in greattttttttttttttttttt.

I purchased this book based on the other reviews that I read for it here on Amazon. We are planning our first visit to Paris and were in need of a book to help us decide what to do with our children who are 11 and 9 years old. The book is terribly organized and, for someone like us who is new to the city, it doesn't help at all with deciding what would be best to do during our time there.

The headlines at the top of each page are in French so if you are not fluent enough to understand them, you are forced to read through each page to decide if it would be something the family might enjoy. I have found this book to be of little use for my needs (which are to plan our 5 day stay in Paris), but if you are planning a longer visit where exploring neighborhoods and their parks are of interest to you, you might find the book helpful.

The only thing we thought was good about this book was the dancing Eiffel Tower contained within its pages!

Over the spring, I took my 8 & 10 year olds to Paris for 9 days. Since I hadn't been there in almost 25 years, I thought it prudent to gather information on what the kids might like to do. I absolutely loved the format of this book. It was informative, and quick and easy to read. In the back of the book they had the points of interest ranked, too. Website addresses are also listed. From discussions with my kids, I made a table based on what they might like to do, the hours, and the cost. We also looked at a map of the city to determine the locations. When we got to Paris, we had our flexible outline. Of course, we couldn't do everything! But having this book as our starting point helped create an amazing visit. They absolutely loved it! I got this for me and my 5 yr. old who was going to Paris. We went through the book and picked out all the things we wanted to do. It has so much information on times, prices, places for kids to eat. It is a great book and I highly recomend for a family with kids going to Paris.

Loved it. Great resource for our recent trip with 2 kids. Easy to use, concise and helpful. Highly recommended.
