As with all Fodor's travel guides, this one is no exception for a great all around book. It helped us decide which of the Caribbean islands to visit and we were not disappointed.
I recommend this book for your travel guide to the islands.

I bought this because it seemed to be the most recent and indepth Caribbean guide. As with all guides that cover a vast amount of territory, you'll find that it's not as indepth as you'd like. For example, the book provided me with enough information on Puerto Rico if I had a day or two in San Juan, but I'd have to refer to another guide if I had planned on staying longer. But that's to be expected.

If you're looking at going on a Caribbean cruise or even trying to figure out which island you want to spend time on, I'd recommend this book. It's pretty decent and it's good for browsing so I can daydream of going to the lesser-known islands (helpful on bad weather days.)

This book is full of so much information, you can't go wrong with this purchase. The only islands it didn't cover was the Bahamas, and that's because they have a seperate book for that. But this is a great buy & read.
