Not as good as i expected it to be from Fodor's but it does give a good general idea of the places your gonna visit and what to do when you step off the boat. Only bad things compaired to the other travel books i recently bought from Amazon about the islands, this one is a little dry. What i mean there is, its wrote to where this copy could never be out of date. Some people might think thats a good thing, id much rather know what to expect in 2009 with a little more flavor. Another bad thing about this book is the sections on the islands is a little short for my taste. Could have added a little more stuff "off the beaten path" and maybe a little more stuff on what "not to miss" on your adventure when you step off the boat.

Good stuff about it: good maps inside, talks about every island, good tips tricks and warnings, easy to read and well put together. I'm not upset i bought it, it would have been better had i flipped threw this book first. Great book to have by your side as you check out stuff on your cruise on the internet or travel review websites. You could almost say this book is your dictionary to the caribbean.

This has been valuable information before we cruise to the Caribbean, as well as taking it with us for reminders when we are there! Would recommend if you need information as a first time trip there.

Bought this book in preparation for a Caribbean cruise and it came in very handy. The maps were decent and accurate and the local things to do were a good starting point.
