Fodor's guide to Croatia and Slovenia was, as expected, very good on Croatia and Slovenia. But I would guess that most travelers are not going to confine their trips to those two countries. It's likely they will also visit Bosnia & Herzogovina, and Montenegro -- at least major tourist cities in each. So...Fodor's isn't as helpful as it could have been if it had included these other Adriatic countries.
