2.0 out of 5 stars Good for folks in big cities w/ $, but not for everyone else, March 26, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Fodor's Europe 2000: Expert Advice and Smart Choices, Completely Updated Every Year, Plus a Full-Size Color Map (Paperback)
This book is very good for the major cities like Paris and London and gives many listings of hotels and places to visit. But if you leave the big cities and head to areas like Provence, there is nary a listing of things to do (and it's not because there aren't things to do, other guides tell about lots of things) and Fodor mainly lists hotels and a few food places. Very few of the places they list qualify as inexpensive by their standards, and their inexpensive standards are rather expensive in comparison to most budget standards. Overall, find another guidebook.
