In a city like San Francisco, the best way to experience it is on foot and city transit. This book brought my attention to many sites that I would have passed over and gives paths to walk through sections of the cities and catch all the best sites along the way. Great advice is to get a pass for MUNI and use it! We moved thought the city freely and saw more in seven days than many others who have visited.

After reviewing many online guides and some other small books/maps on San Francisco I had no clear idea of what I wanted to do or where to go. Then I received a copy of Fodors San Fran 2004 and I must say, I have a jam packed super charged itinerary all ready and I feel like I know the city! This book is concise and to the point. I've been to Francisco once before. All the places I wanted to come back to where in this book in full detail explaining things that I never thought of. Not only does my trip seem much more exciting but it has given me confidence in making my trip the way I want it to be.
