Thorough, but too big,
By James (Boston, MA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fodor's Japan, 17th Edition (Fodor's Gold Guides) (Paperback)
I enjoy Fodor's guides and have owned several copies of Fodor's Japan over the years. I appreciate that they have an opinion of what you 'must' do when you see a place. The books are well thought out and rich with valuable information. I use their books when I go to any destination around the world. However, this edition of the guide book is too big. At over 800 pages (and hefty weight), it is a small brick to carry around. I feel that they should have used a little more editorial control and cut back the guide book to a reasonable size so that people can carry it on the trip.

japan fodors,
This review is from: Fodor's Japan, 17th Edition (Fodor's Gold Guides) (Paperback)
very comprehensive and detailed review of places to go, see, explore, etc. in Japan. I just wish that Fodors will include some pictures of places of interests.
