I used to plan on all my travel with the help of Fodors.com. I now use Trip Advisor, as Fodor's website has gotten stale. Fortunately, that is not the case with their travel guides. This book was extremely helpful. I was in Shanghai on a two week business trip. I knew I would get some time at night and a lot of time during the mid-trip weekend. With the help of the guide, I was able to pre-plan most of my excursions before I got to China, which is pretty important given the size of the city. The guide was very accurate when describing places to see. I especially liked the shopping sections divided by areas of interest (clothing tailor, pearls, tea sets, etc.). I did not use the restaurant section as I find food is a very personal thing. It's much easier to talk to people about where to eat. I would definitely recommend this guide.

I bought this for my daughter who was lucky enough to be going for business. She said she found it extremely helpful.
