4.0 out of 5 stars Thorough reference book
Fodor's Spain 2006 is very useful as a reference book. For planning the trip I wouldn't rely on it alone however. It is best used in conjunction with a guide planning book such as Rick Steve's Spain 2006.

3.0 out of 5 stars Better than earlier editions
This 2006 version is arranged excellently and gives a lot of very detailed information. Like Rick Steves' book, it could use a better index. The Fodor choices are directed more toward the well-heeled traveler and seem to not go to the inexpensive places to stay or eat that must be out there. When we get back we will know for sure.

4.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive book about Spain, April 21, 2008

This review is from: Fodor's Spain 2006 (Fodor's Gold Guides) (Paperback)
I have used this book during my 2008 travel to Andalucia. This is probably the most comprehensive book about cities to visit in Spain. Although I have used it in 2008, I found book to be up to date on everything. The shortcoming of the book is that it has no pictures, which is unfortunate considering how beautiful Spain is. In Andalucia, mosty hotels will be able to organize the tours for you or give you maps of the city, but for the history of the place, you will have to rely on this book. Most comprehensive writings about cultural places, hotels and restaurants of all travel book on Spain I have found so far. Have a fun and safe trip!
