This book does have some helpful tips, but it is not consistent. For example, in the Magic Kingdom section, it may have useful info like good resting places (esp. if you have small children), but not in Epcot section, for example. Or the Magic Kingdom has a section about attractions that are good for preschoolers, and the Hollywood Section does not--you have to search all over the place to find this info. Also the index is INCORRECT. Since the book is sometimes all over the place, I tried to use the index to find a specific topic I needed information on. For example, in the index, it says that the topic "Shopping, delivery for onsite guests" should be on page 42--it is not. The whole index is like that. You would think someone from Fodor's would have proofed/edited the index.

We've gotten this book and it's annual updates for the last 3 years, and it's saved us a lot of money, and, more importantly TIME. We planned according to the recommendations in the book (which are almost always perfectly accurate), and we were able to avoid long lines and many other time wasters. The author of the book knows more about how to do Disney, than anyone. Our vacations at Disney World have been greatly enhanced because of the info. If you're going to Disney, GET THIS BOOK.

This was our first time in Disney with the kids and this book was a valuable resource. We loved the tips, the maps and the recommendations. From our experience Ms. Wiley was "on the nose" when it comes to recommending rides for the ager groups our children were belong to (two and four AND A HALF!!!!).

I've even showed it to friends who go to Disney every year and they found it helpful.

I purchased this book based on Fodor's reputation of excellent travel books, but this is simply not up to par! I have several other Disney books --- Birnbaum and the Neal's Complete Walt Disney World books --- and this Fodor edition contains several typos (including "Sindbad" instead of Sinbad at Universal's Island of Adventure) and ride errors. It is also not very thorough or complete. If you're going to choose just one Disney book, put this one LAST on the list.

This was a good overall guide and gave some info that other guides did not contain. The info on the rides and shows is very informative, with info on ride times, line length, etc.

However, it found some errors in specific information. For example, on the Sea World section there is info about behind the scene tours, those were for 2008 only and the phone number listed in the book was for a title company, not Sea World Orlando.

I am the author of Walt Disney World With Kids and wanted to respond to the reader who reported she was having trouble using the index. Unfortunately, due to a printing error, some copies of Walt Disney World With Kids 2009 included the index from the 2008 edition. Fodor's immediately realized the mistake and printed more books; all copies currently for sale have the corrected index.

I don't know if it was just my book but the Index does not match the pages listed. It's off by about 5 pages making this book's usefulness very limited.

This book is choc-a-block with useful time and money saving tips and should be considered an essential guide to anyone wanting to survive, much less enjoy a trip to WDW. Pack it or plan on bringing some regrets home with you.

There are great tips for a trip to Walt Disney World with Kids.

I am going to Walt Disney World in December. I am going with a friend and her two little girls who are 5 and 6.

My children are grown and I am finding out a lot of good ideas and information that is especially great for someone who is going with little kids.
