5.0 out of 5 stars great ska-punk album
This album is a great listen for people who enjoy laid back and not too serious music. There are plenty of catchy songs. I actually discovered this band while watching Eurotrip (great movie btw) and "Get Loose" has to be one of the best party songs. If you don't enjoy this genre of music than this band probably won't change your opinion. But if you are into ska with a...

3.0 out of 5 stars Diverse and Fun
If you like fun and immature music, then you are going to love this album. The music ranges across a wide spectrum but manages to stay a cohesive piece. The band sounds like a mix between Reel Big Fish and Sublime with a little hip hop and funk thrown in. There are some really fun and catchy songs on the album like Get Loose, The Roth Kung Foo and 2 Kool for Skool...

The band sounds like a mix between Reel Big Fish and Sublime with a little hip hop and funk thrown in. There are some really fun and catchy songs on the album like Get Loose, The Roth Kung Foo and 2 Kool for Skool. The album is listenable start to finish if you like the alt-ska genre of music. I rated it as 3 stars, average to above average.

I saw The Salads at Edgefest at the Molson Amphitheater this past summer ('04) and absolutly loved them. Their songs were very energetic and catchy and even though I had no clue who they were before I couldn't help but to jump in and party with the crowd. This band is awesome live and I love their album. I've listened to it every day since I've gotten it. If you don't know who they are, just check out their web site - www.thesalads.com - and listen to some of their stuff. You won't want to stop!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing CD!, June 22, 2004

You absolutely *need* to buy this cd! It's a crazy ska-meets-reggae mix of fun, party music, but with no sacrifice to intelligence. 'Unhappy' is an incredibly beautiful song, that although emotional, doesn't bring down the vibe of the album at all, and it carries right on into songs like ''Roth Kung Fu' and 'Whachewlookinah?!', which I defy you to sit still through!

I've listened to at least one song from this cd every day since I bought it! It's positive and uplifting, and it's going to make a bad day a whole lot brighter.

One last thing - if you haven't already....go see this band perform live!! They are so intense and energetic - they truly define what a live show should be!

5.0 out of 5 stars INCREDIBLE!!!, April 16, 2004
This review is from: Fold a to B (Audio CD)
If you haven't heard these Toronto-guys yet- go out and buy this record! They live upto their name- a mix of everything! They have ska, rap, reggae, punk and rock!!! The musicians are beyond talented and their lead vocalist Mista D is nuts! IN A GOOD WAY! Songs like "Get Loose" will make you wanna just get up and dance or go crazy.. while others like "Unhappy" will show you the more serious side of the group, overall it is a must have album! If you havent seen these guys live DO SO!! It will be worth the money- even more! Incredible show, the guys are so tight together not to mention a blast to see! You will leave satisfied and wanting to go to the next city to catch them again!!!!
