Last year I bought the Fold Your Own Zombie Calendar. At the beginning of each month I got to build a paper zombie, each more clever than the last. I'm so sad that my year of zombies is over but excited that I can begin a year of robots. If you like building things, this is the calendar for you.

I got this for my girlfriend after she saw a coworker with it and said she'd really like it. I thought it might be a frivolous desire, but she really really had fun making the robots. We took a five hour train ride and she spent several hours making robots with just a bottle of glue, a wood stick, and this calendar. I haven't seen her have so much fun with a "toy" for a long time. The robots really are neat, and designed with a surprising level of creativity. Several of them animate in some way. My favorite one transforms into a briefcase. This thing really is ridiculously fun, even for me and my girlfriend, supposed "adults."

This was a great buy. My girlfriend was into origami and she is eccentric. So when i saw this product i thought i would give it a shot. she loves it! all of the robots are in tact and the calendar looks fresh and brand new. She made the robot for January and she has him on her desk. She makes comments on how cute they are and how she cannot wait to make the next one. If you are looking for an out of the norm calendar; this is a great choice.

This calendar is so much fun... it is getting difficult to resist the urge to build all 12 robots NOW, but I will attempt to only build 1 per month.

Seriously though, I have had fun with this, tons of people comment on it at work, and there isn't really anything I would change about it. Well, I suppose if it came with a glue stick and a punch-out $20 bill it might be better, but come on now.. it isn't polite to be greedy. :)
