Cheaply made. Extremely small overall size. Has 24 pegs for spools of thread, but since they are way too close together, they won't hold regular sizes of spools. Came with 24 TINY spools of thread that won't last very long. Came with quite a few notions, but the straight pins weren't in a box. I could hear them rattling when I got the package. When I opened the box, pins were everywhere, and fell out all over the floor. The only really useful notion is a needle threader that comes with a magnifying glass. Came with bobbins for some reason, already loaded with thread. Of course the bobbins don't work with my machine and since you need to fill a bobbin with the thread you're using, these bobbins are useless. If this kit had cost $5.95, it would have been too expensive, but a little more reasonable for the quality of the product.

if you like cheap thread, and a box taht looks like it's been made at the junk yard, then this is perfect. Everything I have ordered form these people is a waste of money. Low quality and bad customer service. I say pass.

The threads are also cheap breakable quality and the spools arent filled all they way up.

The thing falls completely apart because of the poorly designed hindges It will stay together on the lap

Please do not buy this item. First of all you do not get what they list. Out of the entire list, 10 items are not included. The scissors are 2.5 inches and not 5 inches. The thread is the lowest quality that I have ever seen. This sewing box, if that is what you want to call it, is totally unusable. I cannot believe that they actually sell these things. There is no pin cushion, no knit fixer, no seam ripper, no tracing wheel, no chalk, no bobbins, etc, etc, etc. The picture is not what you get.

A major disappointment. The picture and description did not fully represent the actual item. The scissors were teeny, tiny. I was very bothered that I couldn't tell from the description and picture just how small everything was, like a child set.

I recieved a sewing machine for christmas and had none of the supplies to get into full swing. I hadn't even touched a sewing needle in about 15 years. I knew there was a lot more I needed to start sewing than just the machine. This little kit has it all!!!!!!! I was reluctant to start buying things individualy mostly because I live in NYC and we do not have a "jo-ann fabrics" type of store to do so. This was the answer to my dilema. It has things in it I didn't even know I needed! All for under $25! AWESOME!

I bought this for a relative who loves sewing and she was delighted. I was a little wary of purchasing it because of some of the negative reviews but I went ahead and bought it. I am glad I did because she said that it was a perfect product that has everything she needs for sewing projects!

I bought this as a gift. It was a nice small size and had lots of great supplies inside. However, once open it is difficult to close, even without taking anything out. After taking things out and moving them around a bit, I imagine this will be impossible to close.

My mother gave me one of these with the best of intentions. I thank her for those intentions, but she must not have tried this thing out herself. Once you get it open, good luck closing it again! You have to v.v. carefully line up the two large sections with the side sections to get it to lock shut. Plus everything everybody else said. It will hold slender spools of Guterman thread, but not full size spools of Dual Duty. It takes up a lot of space when it's open. It's annoying.

You'll be much better off with a bunch of those clear plastic thread boxes that interlock (I have several, one for each color group) and a nice sewing box like your mom or your grandma has for needles, pins and notions than with a poorly designed thing like this.
