Cot was somewhat light weight and easy to store and transport however we used these cots on a seven day camping adventure and they only lasted six nights. The frames are too light weight and started to buckle and crack by the end of the week. There is a weight limit and we were under the weight restrictions and on level ground. They were a good deal or so i thought until they had to actually be put into service for a whole week.

Low quality, thin metal bent on set up/install of final end cross member, but hammered it back out to used it. A person, well under the 200 pound limit, had the side bar collapse on them when they sat on the cot. This would be a good product if the metal was twice as thick, or if used for people 100 pounds or less. A sad disappointment, set up once, and left in the dumpster in Canada where the 'user' had to sleep instead on a tent floor.

I ordered this cot to use camping at a music festival. It arrived in a timely fashion, but that is unfortunately the only positive part of my experience. No sooner did I set it up and go to sit on it, one whole side snapped. I am a very petite girl -- 5', 125 lbs -- sitting on the canvas should not have snapped one of those bars. I didn't even get a chance to sleep on it. It was so broken, I left it there, halfway across the country, because it wouldn't fold up compact enough for me to repack it and take it home to mail back for a return. Don't purchase.

Sturdy build, canvas like material cleans very easily, easy to fold and open up. Edges are a little sharp though.

Sent this with my ten-year-old son when he had to stay at a friend's. On the first use, the friend witnessed the side panel bend when my son sat down. He did nothing abusive and it comes with no warnings not to sit on it.

When I was a kid we had wood/canvas/metal cots left over from WW2. The canvas was taught, and they were good. Now we have the same basic design in plastic fabric, metal, and rubber feet (that had fallen off in the box but haven't fallen off again yet). The canvas on this one is also taught and good.

Only problem is that it has a lot of plastic smell. I use it for sunbathing, so the smell problem is not an issue when I'm using it, but I wouldn't want to sleep on it indoors. I stored it inside the first night, and the smell was unthinkable. Now I store it outside on a porch so it doesn't smell up my house and has a chance to air out.

The smell died down after about two months.

They give you mushy black plastic caps to put in the ends of the aluminum channel cross pieces. These have dimples that keep the cot from folding in and which keep the fabric taught. Two of these dimples easily broke off when I was lying with my head at the end. The company says they can't replace the pieces. The cot is now useless. Sorry, it's been more than 30 days, so no refund, no nothing. I now have a large piece of trash. Or maybe I could spend an hour or two trying to rig something to save this. What a waste of time.

I brought this for a camping trip as I can't sleep on the hard ground any more. It fit right in my tent (7 x 7) and I still had room to move around. It's very sturdy and very easy to set up. I really like how compact and easy it is take with you -- The bag to carry it in is very well made as well.
I highly recommend this product.
