While the price seems high, this is not your average shopping cart. This is much more durable than most carts you see. I've had mine for over two years so far and my cart gets heavy use -- pounds and pounds of laundry and grocery shopping every week. Well worth every penny.

Amazon Verified Purchase
A little over 10 years ago, I bought this same cart from another dealer.
Yes, I think the pins are a bit flimsy -- but they lasted almost 11 years.
Yes, a swivel front would seem, at first breath, to be better -- but this unit was easy to take up and down stairs, and a swivel front would probably have problems with that kind of movement. Once you get used to maneuvering the cart, you discover how to get it through tight spaces without much of a problem.
I don't know about the 250 lb "brag" -- I never weighed the stuff going in -- but it's a great help to a senior citizen with tons of "sore joints", and it makes unloading the car an absolute breeze.
In the end, the only important thing is that the cart lasted for over a decade, and was as good yesterday as it was the day it was purchased, despite more than a decade of HEAVY usage.
Unfortunately, the hanger in my garage unexpectedly gave way and fell out of the wall this morning. The shopping cart hit the garage floor first, followed by an extremely heavy "pot mover". The pot mover was so heavy that it sheared off the stabilizer bar between the rear wheels of the cart. That is the ONLY reason that it needs replacing!!!
BTW: This is the first time I've written a review -- but this has been a wonderful aid, and the somewhat negative tone to a number of the reviews doesn't fairly represent what a wonderful tool it's been for all these years.

I originally bought this cart for walking down to the convenient store that is about a mile away from us but really have used it more for laundry. My hubby and I have 2 boys with autism and they go through A LOT of laundry in 2 or 3 days. We live in an apartment complex and don't have washer/dryer hook up. This super cart comes in so handy and is REALLY easy to push and turn. The front wheels even turn a little so it's like it glides around small corners. I love this cart and wished I got it sooner. Has become a huge investment and I would recommend it to anyone. It was really easy to put together (was just the wheels and springs) everything else was intact. You will love this. It is very durable as well! Definitely worth the money spent. I even purchase a cloth cover to go inside for laundry and that is great too. Buy this today. It's great!

didn't quite meet my needs
This is a sturdy cart but weighs a ton and is difficult to move up stairs. Also the assembly directions are somewhat confusing.

Piece of crap!
This cart is crap. Get a better one, one better built. The wheels kept falling off and it never really closed completely or easily.

fun and versatile cart
I really like this cart, it is easy to use and was very easy to assemble. It's sturdy and is a really cool blue color, definitely not an old lady cart!
