Customer Reviews

I love working with metallic gold acrylic paint.

Colors were great (nice and bright) and the paint went on well and dried nicely.

It lends itself to the very thing that glass does, transparency and color.

While this is a small 2oz tube, I needed very little of it to add a very cool shiny highlight to my project - the color is very true and the closest I've found to leaf paints.

I love that for a metallic paint, clean up is on par with other acrylic paints. The only downside, is unlike the non-acrylic leaf paints, it takes several coats to get it to adhere to plastic so price-wise, if your purchase is to work on plastics of any kind, you're going to need 2-3x more of this than the thicker, one coat non acrylic. It's preference though. The clean up is amazing! Washes easily with just soap and water (never been able to do that w/non-acrylics and did NOT expect a metallic to be as easy to clean up)

I'd highly recommend this item to anyone looking for an affordable but quality metallic paint or anyone who's working on something very detailed - this paint lets you make slight mistakes and correct them (while the paint is still wet) w/o leaving any stains -

I have to add for anyone with children - I normally would not trust a metallic paint any more than oils for use by children(over 10) but, this is a genuine acrylic so not only for fine work by adults but, this is also an item that younger artists could work with, while it's not non-toxic, it doesn't come with the worry of any fumes found in many leaf paints.

I love this paint for my glass painting. It is an amazing product.
Smooth easy to use, lovely white only needs one coat, and I didn't have to leave home to search for it!
I live about 40 minutes from a Michaels Craft Store and have been there several times only to find this paint out of stock (reckon lots of folks like this paint)
so I was very happy to find it on Amazon.
I have used this paint for several years now after hearing about it on TV and I love it.
NO complaints on product, seller or service. VERY pleased and when I get low I will buy more Folk Art glass paint for certain.
Blessings!

The color is more silvery grey -- definitely not siver. I bought it to repaint a bracelet, and it"s definitely NOT sterling color -- as I said, more grey. Cannot use it,

This is a great product but, ridiculously overpriced. Plaid Enterprises' FolkArt Acrylic Enamels are sold for 2.49 for each 2 oz bottle right on their site. To charge more than the company itself charges is just plain greedy. Buy it from Plaid instead. Plus they have the full array of colors from which to choose.

This does everything expected, and has the bonus of being extremely easy to work with. Am using on glass and after 30 minute oven curing, is very dishwasher safe.

Folk Art paint is the very best to paint on glass. I have tried other brands and they are not as thick as Folk Art and tend to run a little, which you don't want paint glass.

I used Folk Art enamels professionally for glass painting, and never have an issue with quality or texture. I find it to be superior in consistency and coverage than any other brand I've tried so far.
