This Time-Life Book on American Folk Art was produced in 1990, long after any enthusiasm for the Time-Life anthology concept had waned, and yet this compilation of expert opinions is readable, informed, well-written and exemplary in every way.
I have purchased and read almost all of the standard texts on American folk art, and this book clearly is the best introduction to the field at large. It's certainly worth many times its current market value: 39 cents! |
