I have to just say that by far this has got to be one of the greatest music collections I have ever purchased.

Let me start by commenting on how superb the sounds quality of all the tracks on each of the 4 disks included in this box set are. I have bought boxed sets in the past from other various labels and company's and they have for the most part always been lacking in the sound department, atleast when it comes to the collections of music from this era and older.
50's and 60's and some 40's even. The forground e.g. the singers cancel out the background from either chorus or insturmental. or vise versa and alot of times even as most know the sound is just very muddled to the point of which you have to turn up the volume way way high to even hear the artist's voice. But, with this collection I have really enjoyed the sound quality. Every cut on here is just so lifelike it's amazing. It's like your either listening to the performance live right there at that time. or as good as any radio edit on todays Airways of any new artist of todays period, or any cut of a track from a new artists cd. It's really that good. I'm prob getting into a longer than needed review, so I'll just wrap things up by also adding this one more thing. The mix of artists and songs in this collection are done really great as well. Every song one after the other is set to compliment each other in a very relaxing and upbeat progression. It never jumps from slow to fast in a ruin the mood way at any time during any of the programs e.g. disks.
Thats is my Review of Readers Digest Favorites of the 60's and 70's. If ya want an excellent way to remember the artist's and songs of that time period, them I say definately give this CD set a try. You will not regret it.
