A Gentle Acoustic Folk Christmas, March 12, 2002

The artists on this CD are Phil & Daniel Rosentha, Naomi & Beth Sommers, Debi Smith, Linda Schrade & Dave Kiphuth, Synia Carroll & Jeff McQuillan, Dan Tressler and Stacy Phillips. Sweet harmonies and the sounds of guitar, mandolin, fiddle, dobro, banjo and flute bring back Christmas the way it used to be...almost! The selection of carols is unremarkable and not especially folky. However the vocals and musicianship are easy on the ear and a pleasant change to the over-orchestrated standard christmas fayre.
