This guide provides a complete, and highly accurate, walkthrough for the game, and is essential unless you want to spend pointless hours wandering around and wasting time doing things that don't advance the game. It's attractive, and pretty well-organized. It's sketchy on how to solve quests (maybe deliberate so as not to give everything away), and occasionally fails to provide guidance on how best to handle troublesome Folks, but for the most part provides the key information needed. When it didn't provide it, a quick internet check would fill in the missing keys. A clearer explanation of how to boost karma for your folks would have been helpful. But overall, this was an excellent help.

The game is fantastic and the book helps out so much! I am definately glad I bought it!!

If you have played this game or are playing this game you might find this guide helpful. It shows how to beat each boss, how to get each folklore and all the subquests. I would recommend this guide!

This strategy guide helped me to get through the game. When I first bought the game I got lost. I was running around in circles to figure out what to do next. Once I received the guide the game became exciting. The guide tells you step-by-step what you should do next and what weapons will do the most damage on certain characters.

I highly recommend to get this guide, unless you have weeks to figure out on your own.

I absolutely loved this game. It starts slowly, but once it gets going it is exciting and weaves a complex story.

My only complaint is playing through each level twice, once for each character. At least there are different enemies encountered and different objectives/learnings, but it does get a little repetitious.

The Folklore strategy guide is a very straightforward guide to the game, covering the entire game and including full maps and a bestiary. Unfortunately, two things made it less than fully useful.

1) In this day and age of add-on content and downloadable extras, printed guides will not always be current or even accurate. Folklore has several add-ons now and the guide does not cover them. Perhaps it would be beneficial if the guide makers would include a section on their sites where purchasers of their guides can get updated information for their games.

2) The in-game maps are quite different than those in the guide, sometimes making it difficult to find exactly what one is looking for.

Otherwise, the guide is able to lead one all the way to the end of the game without too much hassle. Eventually, you'll get used to the differences in the maps and be able to adapt between them.

Overall, it's not a bad purchase.

The book was ok .There were a couple problem with me One problem was the printing of the words there should have been A better contrast because I had a hard time see ing it (my eyes are kind of bad when it comes to that) but my biggest peeve was the fact that author gave you the entire story so there was no suprisees in the game you can just read the guide instead(and seeing that I did not finish the game that what I did.)

Although this guide has some very nice character and location art, it is not helpful at all. Not only is half the maps missing on the pages where the maps are shown, it does not list all the information needed in the game (actually not even close to all the info needed)

It fails to mention what the costume section in the game is, what the colored crystal are (and how to break them, and the worst of all is that there is no mention that the side quests must be completed (if you want to do them)before you fight the area's boss.

This is barely useful, and not recommended, unless you want it for the art, I would avoid it. At least it's only 20 dollars (maybe thats why it seemed like the editors did care about how the final product looked)
