5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for the Hardcore Fan, July 1, 2009
This review is from: Folklore & Superstition (Audio CD)
This Special Edition is Blastin Fast and Loud from my stereo speakers as I type this. It sounds great and holds several never before released Gems from one of the best up-and-coming artists in the industry. Some of the tracks were released on the digital EPS only, so this set is perfect for those who would rather have a physical (legal) copy of greats such as Big City Lights and Drinkin' Champagne. If you already own Folklore and Superstition I don't know if this album is worth the price for you, but it is a must have for hardcore fans like myself. Maybe in the future BSC will release Disc 2 independently. But for now, Ive got to Rock N Roll!

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Folklore & Superstition (Audio CD)
I basically purchased this import release, for disc 2, but I opened a amazon credit card, got the $40.00 credit, and purchased this one. I'm old school music wise, only listen to a handful of bands from today's music scene and Black Stone Cherry is one of those bands.

Your basically getting some rare tracks on disc 2, that were released on digital EPS, but with this release your getting them on a disc, and it's perfect for someone like myself that still purchases CD's. The only track missing from those digital EPS is Stop Runnin'.

My favorite part of this one are the acoustic versions of Lonely Train, Hell & High Water, Maybe Someday, and the addition of Peace Is Free (One of my favorites from Folklore & Superstition, but I also like Yeah Man, Big City Lights, We Are The Kings, Cowboys, Bull Dozer, and Drinkin' Champagne.

It's well worth it to purchase this one if you don't already have the tracks on Disc 2. I liked Folklore and Superstition, but it's just that some of the tracks have to grow on you, and it has a great positive message for todays world.

BSC is an awesome band, these guys rock, but love that they basically have put there own stamp on some of the music that I grew up listening too back in the late '80's to early '90's. I'm talking about, Raging Slab, The Four Horsemen, Pride & Glory, Cinderella, Rock City Angels, Little Caesar, Junkyard, and Dirty White Boy.
